Taco Bell Crime of the Week!
The report after the jump!
A jury found Turk Roman guilty of a class D felony of impersonating a police officer. Since Roman was found guilty of a class D felony, Roman will no longer be able to serve on the city council.
The jury went into deliberation on Tuesday evening after only about nine hours from when the trial began. The trial was expected to wrap up on Wednesday afternoon but they came back with a guilty verdict on the same day.
The most compelling testimonies from the trial were from two pastors and Turk Roman himself.
The pastors said in December 2008, Roman came into a Taco Bell, flashed his city council badge, and said he was a police officer and a councilman. There were four other witnesses in the restaurant at that time who testified today. All four of them backed up the pastors testimony.
