Police have arrested a Yorba Linda parolee in connection with a knifepoint mugging in a Taco Bell parking lot.
Police found Corey Andrew Schoenkopf, 21, at 12:30 a.m. Thursday sleeping in his black Toyota outside the Clubhouse bar at the corner of Lakeview and Orangethorpe avenues, said Detective Corrine Loomis of the Placentia Police Department.
In early February, a man who had bought food at the drive-through of a Taco Bell on the 1100 block of Yorba Linda Boulevard parked in the store's lot. He entered the restaurant to get the change he had forgotten, and was mugged in the parking lot by a man he had seen sitting inside.
For the record: the crook is not related to former Weekly Commie Girl columnist Rebecca Schoenkopf--that I know of...
