Chago Ahogadas Now Open in Santa Ana!

A couple of weeks ago, I mentioned how the longstanding SanTana Salvadoran restaurant Pupusódromo was closing and would be replaced by a place hawking tortas ahogadas, the drowned-in-salsa tortas native to Guadalajara. I neglected to mention the name, not only because I wanted to wait until it actually opened but because I forgot it.



The wait is over: it's Chago Ahogadas, and it opened last week. There is some serious money behind this restaurant, as it's pertains to a famous Guadalajaran restaurant of the same name, with an outpost in East Los Angeles. Didn't have a chance to stop in, but will soon...
