Asian Pear Martini at OPAH

The Asian Pear martini begins with honey lining the bottom of the glass, followed by a mixture of Smirnoff vodka, pear syrup and Kern's pear nectar. Topped with a pear slice garnish, this martini really does taste like the juice of a fresh Asian pear has just been squeezed into your glass; the sweetness of the syrup and juice leave only a hint of vodka in the flavor. Once you finish off most of the cocktail your mouth is hit with a sweet surprise--the honey pooled at the bottom of the glass. Those who do not prefer sweet cocktails should beware, for this is one of the sweetest drinks on OPAH's menu.
