The Catch to Open Feb. 5 in Anaheim

The Catch
The Catch, once located across the street from the main entrance to Angel Stadium, will open Friday, Feb. 5 in its new location, in the Avalon at Anaheim, across the street (Sportstown, not that anyone knows the name of it) from the Grove.

The old Catch was vacated to make room for the Platinum Triangle live-work-play developments, which all seem to either be on hold or converting to apartment buildings. The new Catch has a larger bar, more seating and is actually closer to Angel Stadium.

The restaurant's opening is in time for Super Bowl festivities. According to someone who answered the phone (but did not give her name) at the restaurant, Super Bowl Sunday will include drink specials all day and a buffet with carved meat and various salads for $19.95. The normal menu will be similar to the old Catch, but slightly upscaled.

The Catch, 2100 E. Katella Ave. #104, Anaheim; (714) 935-0101.
