Authorities say arrest warrants were issued Monday for the former manager of Taco Bell restaurant on Florence Boulevard after he left with a deposit and hasn't been heard from since.
Warrants for first-degree theft of property were issued for James Ellis Roush, 30, who last lived in Courtview Towers Apartments with his girlfriend.
"But the last time she saw him was about 3 a.m. on Dec. 31," said Florence police detective Brian Perry.
Perry said Roush is accused of walking into the restaurant about 7 a.m. Thursday, opening the safe, taking the deposit from the previous night's business and leaving the building.
"He was supposed to have opened the business that morning, but instead, he's seen on video walking in, taking the money and walking right back out," Perry said. "No one has seen or heard from him since."
