This Week in Food

So, just in case you've been fooled by the deceptively good weather, we're smack dab in the middle of the holiday season. Yes, it's December and Dave proves it by butting nogs against each other in thick, creamy taste test. If eggnog isn't your thing, Jessica also salutes the holidays with a Spiced Pumpkin Martini at Irvine's Bistango.

Speaking of drinks, Vickie gives us five great places to get our booze on near and around the happiest place on Earth.

Edwin confirms the suspicious nature of our schools' cafeteria mystery meat with an expose from USA Today. Also, Edwin makes a hilarious attempt to conquer onion breath with a Colgate's Wisp Mini-brush and takes a trip down memory lane with Farrell's Ice cream Parlor.

Gustavo recounts an open Taco Bell Crime of the Week in which the culprit (still at large) sticks up the same location not once, twice, but thrice! He also puts a jar of jelly up for grabs to the person who can guess at what establishment he encountered local skinheads grabbing lunch.

Dave had his plate full this week getting Ray White of the Veggie Grill on the line and chasing down OC Farmers' Market seasonal closures. But it's alright because he also found a way to save time by popping pills rather in lieu of breaking for tea. That also gave him time enough to dish out five great Asian soups (not pho) and give us the 101 on Vietnamese cuisine.

If that wasn't already a mouthful, visit Life on the Veg for a review of 118 Degrees' seasonal bento box. It's raw and ready in minutes!
