Taco Bell Crime of the Week!
Police are looking for a man suspected of robbing the Taco Bell, 3013 Salem Ave, three times in a week.
A man with a gun, dressed all in black, robbed the restaurant at 1:40 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 12, then escaped in a car behind 222 Stanhope Dr., Lt. Brian Johns of the Dayton Police Department said.
The restaurant was also robbed on Saturday, Dec. 5 and Tuesday, Dec. 8. Witnesses say in all three cases the robber had a partial goatee, wore black clothing and a face mask, and took advantage of familiarity with the restaurant.
"He's very knowledgeable of the security systems," Johns said.
Police are processing video from the robberies in hopes of catching the suspect, brazen enough to rob the same place three times in a week "in broad daylight," Johns said.
Workers declined to comment for fear of their lives.
"I would be too," Johns said. "We need to actually catch that guy."
