Statewide Trans Fat Ban Starts Friday

Beginning New Years Day, California will be the first state to ban trans fat from restaurants. The measure was signed by Gov. Schwarzenegger in 2008, but according to the Sacramento Bee, there was a one-year adjustment period.
However, bakeries don't need to comply until January of 2011.
