With this food truck craze, as with any other trendy thing (think frozen yogurt and cupcakes), you can count the minutes before eagers entrepreneurs would jump on the, um, truck bandwagon that Kogi started a year ago. L.A. is already full of them. Grilled cheese trucks. Sushi trucks. You name the food, there's probably a truck selling it. But I've not seen anything the born out of and expressly roaming O.C.

Until now.

Daily Pilot, the local paper for Newport Beach & Costa Mesa, has the scoop and the story on the beginnings of "Taco Dawg", which parks late at night in front bars after last call, and at area high schools in the daylight.
