Yogurtland Slapped with a Class Action Lawsuit

• what is your issue with yogurt? chemicals? Really...doubt it. 

• My daughter and I just ate at yougurtland, in west Covina, she liked it but I didn't, I got disgusted, now that I know it's all high fructose corn syrup, I'm never going back, I'd rather eat natural fruits or make a juice in the blender.

• Get educated on the stuff you put in your body.  Sure it tastes good but its full of fake coloring and sugar that no one needs to be eating...WAKE UP

• Really John, Have you looked at the contact of their yogurt? Filled with artificial coloring and chemicals that no one should be eating. It is not healthy and if you lost weight it has to do with the fact that you ate less calories than you use to before!

• While, the yogurt is refrigerated it is still open to airborne contamination as the lids cannot be sealed. Also, it is important to me to find out the ingredients so I know what I eating. Refined sugar and HFCS have become the leading cause or heart disease.

• why wouldn't they list their ingredients? what are they trying to hide anyway?? msg? high fructose corn syrup??

• It sounds like to me that some employees got canned and are trying to discredit and cause Yogurtland financial difficulities and trying to get some easy money. If Yogurtland are doing illegal practices they need to clean up their act and call it a day. As far as I am concerned Yogurtland is one of the best for weight loss, I am a proven customer of that.

• I LOVE YOGURT LAND. I USE TO DEVELOP FOR CARVEL ICE CREAM throughout CA AZ NV TX and HI I wish I could of helped develop this type of concept- Love the yogurt and fresh fruit and the locations throughout CA are sooo very friendly. I cannot believe an attorney would actually put out a press release through a blog- What a joke./ Also, if yogurt land was not sanitary..Then they would be shut down by inspectors..I owned a smoothie chain and those guys were ruthless when it came to cleanliness and the way our cleean room was set up..SO, Yogurt Land..Keep Rocking- Just stop paying too much for real estate...

• Soft Serve Machines act as a refrigerator and it is actually common practice for frozen yogurt to be left overnight or dispensed out and refrigerated. Yogurt and milk have a shelf life of about a week but chances are most stores across the country would go through their batch in about 3 days maximum and busier stores can easily go through new yogurt every day. The issue here is, how many people have been affected? If a shop has had many customers whom ended up with problems then there would be an issue and the health department would be involved to evaluate. I agree, these attorneys are simply trying to find a way to gain attention and earn fees. Win or lose, the attorneys filing this lawsuit will have their fees paid either by the plantiffs or by Yogurtland. If I were Yogurtland, i would countersue for false accusations of endangering public health and for the loss of business due to this meritless lawsuit.

• High Fructose corn syrup is all I have to say - not to mention all the other artificial ingredients they put inside. Corn syrup solids, yellow #6 (Mango), aspertame (sugar free kinds). Come on. I like yogurtland too, I happened to come upon it last night but after reading the ingredients there's a slim chance I'll go back. They market this as if it's a health conscious choice, an alternative to some full fat laden Ben and Jerry's or something. I'd rather blend some fruit, ice and nonfat organic yogurt in my vita-mix at home and call it a night. To your health everyone - don't you get it? This is what Franchises are all about? Lawyers too, but at least they're out to get the message straight to the people - which is YOU. And you don't care? Hmmm...

• The machines are designed to refrigerate the yogurt. Even if yogurt was dispensed out of the machine to sanitize it, I see no problem. I work at Yogurtland, and we don't "recycle" our yogurt or leave in the machine overnight. I guess it really depends on the owner of the establishment to follow regulations. Fault is on the owner not Yogurtland.

• Itsabout time someone found out the truth about yogurtland. Yogurtland recycles the yogurt from the night before because all the owner are so cheap that they dontwant to buy more gallons especially the owners of the miracle mile store. That's why I leftyogurtland because they are nasty it is the worse frozen yogurt franchise out ther.

• If a froyo joint is practicing unethical or unsanitary business operations, it should be called out - that way businesses are held accountable for their behavior.

• Sounds like a scumbag attorney looking to get rich with false accusations. Yogurtland has like 50 stores. What, the lawyer found a single extorting employee to state he didn't empty yogurt at night? BFD. These lawyers would do us a better service inside that bus at the bottom of . . . . .

• Brian, I'm guessing you didn't read <a href="http://www.ocweekly.com/2007-07-05/food/building-a-better-berry/">this article</a> from which the photo, shot by our own Jonathan Ho, was used. This is the real deal -- it's a cup of Yogurtland yogurt, although obviously the person who created really, really, really likes chocolate!

• certainly not a photo of Yogurtland above, but a generic competitor. c'mon OCW, at least , there are enough photos of this place's fixing out there and freely available. or just take one with your cell phone and attach to the article.

• Yogurtland is awesome...could this be yet another suit motivated by greed and the desire to knock off the guy on top. Maybe it is all the "legal minds" that are a danger to our health.
