Best News EVER? LA's Mozza Might Be Coming to OC

o_upcomingevents.jpg
This really is the most exciting thing I've heard in a long time.

According to the LA Times' Daily Dish, Mozza is considering expanding its brood into the OC. No word yet on whether we're talking Osteria or Pizzeria or--dare we even think it?--both.

So far it's unconfirmed, but what is known is that offshoots are opening in Singapore "early next year." That's a weird choice for a first spin-off, perhaps, but we're not saying anything bad against Nancy Silverton or Mario Batali (who, along with business partner Joe Bastianich, own and run the restaurants), because, if it's true they're coming our way, we don't want to rock the boat.

But I will just say: I hope they don't choose Costa Mesa for a location, because the brilliant Pizzeria Ortica is already there, and it'd be nice to spread the joy a little.

More info as soon as we have it.
