Best News EVER? LA's Mozza Might Be Coming to OC

• Word has it that it is moving to Newport Beach in the closed Dolce Restaurant spot at 800 W Coast Hwy.

• Brilliant Pizzeria Ortica? I dont know about that. Its more of a wanna-be Mozza! So excited for this news, no more sitting in traffic driving to LA for Mozza!

• I agree�and can't see the big cheeses going for Brea, to be honest, as much as it needs a good Italian/pizzeria.

• I was thinking Brea but after I read "yes's" comments. Downtown Santana would be a GREAT location.

• Downtown Santa Ana would be perfect. Right in the geographic heart of OC, people would flock.

• I agree. That's why, as you rightly say, Santa Ana would be good choice. Fashion Island, Newport, etc�too vanilla! I just hope they don't over-expand.

• One of the things that makes Mozza Pizzeria and Mozza Osteria great are the ecclectic folks who go there, location and the general ambiance -- not to mention great food. I don't think you can replicate that in OC (and definitely not in Fashion Island). Terroni's and Angelini are also great places (both on Beverly near Erehwon market), but if you put those places in OC, you'll still have great food, but a less interesting mix of folks and less interesting atmosphere. With all that said, I hope they locate in downtown Santa Ana.

• I vote for old town Orange... or how about downtown Santa Ana while I'm dreaming. I want to go to Newport Beach only slightly less than I want to go to West LA.

• I was going to suggest Brea too�I always root for the underdog! Fashion Island would probably make more financial sense, though�but not sure Canaletto would appreciate it!
