Orange County Beer Festival Coming on Sunday, August 30!

The booze-up, held at Irvine Lake from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., will feature the county's best breweries, plus domestic and international brands, including ones from Hawai'i, Brazil and, of course, Belgium.

Look out for The Bruery (from Placentia), TAPS (Brea), Bootlegger's Brewery (Fullerton) and the Newport Beach Brewing Company, plus Duchy Originals (from England), which I blogged about recently, He'Brew (The Chosen Beer), Hangar 24 Craft Brewery and tons more. Over 60, in fact.

There'll be BBQ fare and grub by In-N-Out, while "entertainment" (if that's the right word) will come from Metal Shop, a "funny Spinal Tap-type parody". Who knows? Maybe they'll sound good after 14 beers.

Tickets--which include unlimited four-ounce pours and can only be bought in advance (CLICK HERE)--cost $40 (or $15 for designated drivers, who won't be able to drink).
