A Trio of Treats for Dad This Sunday

Father's Day is this coming Sunday, June 21, so get booking!

The Beachcomber Cafe at Crystal Cove is offering a "I'd Rather Have Beer" brunch, from 7:00am to 4:30pm, which includes a bottle of beer (or, alternatively, a glass of champagne, mimosa, bellini or orange juice, soda or coffee). The meal includes fresh fruit and beignets, then a choice of entrée such as Surf and Turf Benedict or Beachcomber Burger.

Cost: $25.95 per adult, $9.95 per child. Reservations are through Open Table, which is also accessible via the Beachcomber's website.

Fleming's in Newport Beach, meanwhile, has a three-course prix fixe brunch (11.30am to 3:00pm), which includes filet mignon or crab cakes for the main course selection. Extra bonus: each party receives a $25 Fleming's gift card (which must be used by 20 July).

Irvine's Lucca café will be hosting a champagne brunch buffet (between 9:30am and 2:30pm), featuring an omelet station, carving station (for beef and turkey), plus fresh pastries, pancakes and desserts.
