For those Dan Brown fans who can't wait till Friday to see Angels & Demons, which surely has to be an improvement on The DaVinci Code, fear not: an advance screening is being held on Thursday night in conjunction with Fleming's Steakhouse in Newport Beach.

Okay, it's $45 per person, but for that you get an appetizer reception of posh nosh and a wine tasting. And not just any old wine tasting, but the "Red Carpet Vintage Release" of the 2008 Illumination Sauvignon Blanc and the 2005 Faust Cabernet Sauvignon, both from Napa Valley.

Stitch that!

And, hey, if the film does turn out to be a dud, you'll be so mellow you won't care.
