"31 Cent Scoop Night" at Baskin-Robbins

31_cent.jpg

Three weeks from tonight (That's Wednesday, April 29th), Baskin Robbins will be holding their "31 Cent Scoop Night" from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.

The event honors America's firefighters with a $100,000 donation to the National Volunteer Fire Council (NVFC) National Junior Firefighter Program.

But for the rest of us:  Cheap ice cream!

Before you start moving your diet around to make room for an ice cream bender, there are caveats.  First, tax is extra.  And second, they limit each customer to three 2.5 ounce scoops.

So, in effect, since an average cone is about 170 calories per 2.5 ounces, Baskin-Robbins cuts you off at about 510 calories, which in a way helps out another noble group: the paramedics.
