Now that I've whetted your appetite with churros, (those just tuning in via RSS, please
CLICK HERE), how about a main course of birria courtesy of
Contodo Mexican Grill, a new place in Orange that revolves around four basic items (carne asada, chicken, carnitas, and birria) done as tacos, burritos, bowls, salads, and tortas.
Checking their website, you might think the place looks too slick and corporate to be good, but lovers of
Baja Fish Tacos take note: word is that
Contodo is done by the same people, an spinoff to their previous success, the
Frazier to their
Cheers, if you will.
Being intrepid blogger that he is,
ChristianZ of OC Mex Food picked up on that tip and has already made it a point to try the place. But as Gustavo might tell you, birria is usually a stew synonymous with goat. And for sure, I've never heard of a birria burrito, let alone a birria salad!
