Update: Peruvian Kitchen in Irvine Closed?

• I've been calling the Peruvian Kitchen for two days the number seems to be disconnected. I live in San Clemente, so it's too far for me to drive to see if it's open. Any updates?

• They have been closed so far this week (January 5 thru 8 inclusive).

• Another update: looks like I was premature in saying that Peruvian Kitchen was closed for good. I did visit the food court again today, and they were open for business. The closure was temporary, maybe just for that one day when I visited a couple of week ago. Their stall wasn't busy, though. They had maybe 2 or 3 customers during the lunch hour when I was there.

• It was disheartening to see them closed up yesterday. The food during my 2 previous visits was really good, and offered a great alternative to the fast food chain fare, but paying $9-11 for an entree seemed high in a food court, especially given these recessionary times. Their sign is still there, so it's entirely possible that they are just closed temporarily, but my gut instinct tells me that they are shut down for good. I usually go to Chicago's Best every two weeks, so I'll report back then to see if Peruvian Kitchen is still closed.

• I liked their food there, and the girl at the counter was nice. THough, I did have a bad experience. ONce when I asked for an extra aji sauce the green sauce, a mother like lady from the back said,you will have to pay more for that. But the counter girl was nice to give it . but with that I could see why they are closed!
