Who hates summer as much as we do? What? No one? Sure there's always tons of things going on every day and every weekend during these warmer months--but you're also moist like, the whole time. Or is that just us?

We had a full weekend, as always. And it was so full it overflowed over to Thursday night! First up, photographer Keith May went and visited the First Annual OC Mud Run in Irvine, which is exactly what it sounds like--a bunch of grown adults and children running around in mud. In costumes. Sometimes (usually) skimpy. See

Next, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts at the Pacific Amphitheater at the OC Fair.

The 50-year-old Joan Jett was looking as badass as ever as she played to an audience spanning generations. Photographer Chris Victorio snaps, you ogle. The system works!

Meanwhile, that same night, FA4 Gallery in Long Beach hosted a Wild West costume party, complete with musical entertainment from the Terrapin and Last Legs. Guests enjoyed art and even took part in the art--a popular communal art wall was even on hand. Nothing beats how cute everyone looked in their "native" gear, though. Which means, yeah, everyone was pretty much in checkered shirts or had smeared lipstick on their faces. A couple of kids showed a bit of ingenuity and arrived as a pair of (adorable) cows though. Check out the photos from the night by Fever Dragon (a totally serious handle, folks) right here

Next up was the premier of Five Speed Fever, swimwear fashion show (complete with prop laser guns! Our kind of show!) and party at Volcom HQ in Costa Mesa. Photog Keith May was there. And he got lots and lots and lots of shots of Barbarella lookin' babes in bikinis. It was only fair. Click for the slideshow

Aaaaaaaand lastly, ALL and Orange County locals Big Drill Car played at the House of Blues Anaheim. We love ALL, we really do, but we were totally stoked on the Big Drill Car reunion with all original line-up! They formed in Costa Mesa and are based in Huntington Beach, don'tcha know? Photographer Andrew Youssef went to check things out--see his photos right here!
