Bay Theater - Seal Beach, 340 Main St., Seal Beach, CA; 562-431-9988

The Windmill Movie, 7:10 and 9:50 p.m.

Because, sadly, our lovely calendar editor Erin DeWitt's hosted screening of the film and Q and A session with the director was canceled last night at the last minute, we urge you to view this docu-drama and email her with any and all questions that you may have about the film (edewitt@ocweekly.com). Synopsis: Director of the Harvard University Film Study Center and avid filmmaker, Richard P. "Dick" Rogers left behind innumerable boxes of film--intended for an autobiography that went unrealized as of his death in 2001. Olch began piecing together the footage with help of Rogers' wife, Susan, and the result lands somewhere between hypnotizing dream and sobering reality. Spanning over the years from youth to his untimely passing at age 57, The Windmill Movie takes Rogers' life and spins it into an award-winning, surreally beautiful trip into the mind of one man and into the nature of life.

What the Bellhop Saw, daily

This hilarious and topical farce is sure to leave audiences squealing with laughter as one comedic gag falls atop the other at breakneck speed! When a mild-mannered young man checks into an expensive suite in New York City's finest hotel, he only intends to begin an illicit affair. Little does he know that his indiscretion will precipitate a fantastic nightmare involving not only his abrasive wife, but a renowned author, a middle-eastern terrorist, a scheming bellboy, an incompetent CIA agent, a sex-starved maid, a ditzy secretary, and a little girl in pig-tails. Naturally, with this crazy cast of characters, things quickly spin out of control and into a delightfully absurd evening of pure comedic mayhem! Ticket Purchase: 714-895-8150 or www.gwctheater.com.

Groundbreaking of new Westminster Police Department Building, 5:30 p.m.
