Chapman Journo Professor Defeats Wacky Santa Barbara Publisher

Categories: Naranja News

Paterno_S.jpgIn these days of horrible news, something great: Chapman University School of Journalism professor Susan Paterno successfully defender herself against a libel and defamation suit filed by Wendy McCaw, the controversial owner of the Santa Barbara News-Press and a rag owner that makes Hearst look like Pulitzer. Even better, per a Santa Barbara blog, McCaw will pay at least part of Paterno's legal fees. Can't wait to get a reaction from Paterno, who has taught two classes of journalism students even while respectfully declining to comment on the case per her lawyer's advice. Congrats, Susan--your David-vs.-Goliath victory gives all of us hope in these days of failing banks!
