Douche, Not only are you a coward but you are factually in error. Christina was my client. The incident you described never occured. That was pure nonsense fueled by the diocese, Mater Dei, its lawyers and the other victim bashers who work for the diocese. The only sex ever experienced on that campus by my client client was being raped beggining at age 15, by Andrade, with the full awareness that she was being abused by Mater Dei Administration. Maybe the U.S. Attorneys office will go after Brown and Mater Dei after they finish with Mahoney.

Did you even read my post? I called the Servite kids' actions "horrible" and told them to lay off the players and go after adults. How is that not writing about the situation?

Did you read my seventh comment on here? The people who allowed Andrade to run rampant, Pat Murphy and Gary McKnight, are still working at Mater Dei. Have you or any of your clan asked diocesan officials to fire them? If not, why not? Have you ever talked to a victim? Have you ever done anything else other than feel the whole situation is "deplorable"? If not, why not?

We as a family have taken MD to task and voiced our displeasure over the Andrade situation and are not proud of how it was handled in general. And for the record one of the victims in the case is a friend and did not deserve what happened to them. But the victim knows that there are THOUSANDS of students and HUNDREDS of teachers who have been help by Mater Dei. You only focus your rage at MD and it's supporters by calling us all pedophiles. As a good catholic I have the responsibilty to provide the best Catholic education I can to my children. I also have taken the adminstration to task on the decades old transgretons and was a catilist to change the way things are handled. I am sure that 100% of the teachers at MD have nothing but the best interest of my children at heart. If you really want to inact change why didn't you donate your multi-million dollar cut of the settlement to a NPO that would help the Diocese keep our kids safe? Why didn't you as a graduate become a force within our Diocese and lobby for the change you claim you want to foster? Instead you comb the country (Alaska, Delaware, Washington ect.) and sue Diocese after Diocese into bankruptcy and keep collecting your lawyers fees. Spare me your crusading martyer speech and show us you care about your old school and Diocese and lead the charge for change, or just keep collecting that blood money. You are a very small man. You cant tell other kids to do squat. You sir, have better watch yourself. What does your girlfriend and a hockey player have in common?

Nick , I intend to continue to work to dismantle the apparatus of abuse all over the country. I will continue to do this until the abuse stops.

The truth is I did try to become a force in the Diocese. At the time I was a devout catholic with a jesuit spritual director. The first case I ever handled my former partner and I initially took pro-bono. It was Ryan DiMaria's case against Fr. Harris. I was certain that once Bishop McFarland found out what Harris had done he would pay for Mr. DiMaria's counseling. (this was all he asked for) Instead, to my shock, the Bishop refused to meet with the family and had his lawyers tell the DiMaria's to F off. The net result was a brutal 5 year battle and a 5.2 million dollar settlement to Mr. DiMaria. I have also represented two former members of the diocese of orange review board who left because the diocese was assigning drunk priests who wanted to protect molesters to the board. Let me assure you after 11 years of trying to get the people at Marywood to do the right thing I have reached one conclusion. The Diocese leadership in this county is abjectly and thoroughly corrupt to their core. I know there are many good people and even a few good priests. However they have no power or control.

In terms of my office getting paid I owe you no explanation any more than you owe me one for you getting paid for whatever line of work you are in. If you want to work for free all of the time go for it. Unfortunately, I can't afford to do that. Before I started representing victims I had and still have a successful business law practice. If the Church reforms and these cases went away I would do just fine. Our firm like many other law firms who do contingency work takes no payment until we collect money for the client through a settlement or judgement . We have to advance hundreds of thousands of dollars in costs on each individual case. Frequently we are not paid a nickel for 5 or 6 years. If our client is unsuccessful we are not paid at all. It's interesting that you diocese guys never ask the defense lawyers who have made collective billions (yes with a b) over the last 20 years to donate any money or complain about their fees. That is billions more than any of the plaintiffs lawyers have made. If you want to cut off plaintiff lawyers fees then stop giving money to the church until they get rid of molesters. I will continue to goad the hirearchy until they stop protecting these men. You want to blame me for the crisis go ahead but the guys really responsible are the one's at mass flinging insense and wearing a pointy hat.
