Great piece Gustavo. I deposed Rosetti in 2001. His testimony was shocking. Among other things he revealed that St. Luke's does not report known pedophiles to law enforcement. Every state in the U.S. has a mandatory reporting law that requires mental health providers, clergy and others to report to law enforcement when they have a "reasonable suspicion" that someone is or has molested children. St Lukes takes the position if the priest is from a state outside of Maryland (where it is located) they have no obligation to report. This is an easy way for Bishop's to deal with pedophile priests, keep them out of jail and most importantly keep the victims in the dark.

In Harris' case they issued a 20 plus page report to Mnsgr. John Urell and Rosetti concluded that Harris was a pedophile and that the victims who had come forward were "the tip of the iceberg". Urell and the Diocese surpressed the report and went on to call Harris an "icon to the priesthood". They destroyed the victims who had come forward in the mid-90's allowed Harris to get a PHD in child development and make millions operating a tax payer funded "family mobile home park" business called Caritas.

St. Lukes has protected pedophile priests since it's inception. The fact that Bishop's like Steinbock would give it money is a grave indication that molesters are still active in the priesthood and that children are not safe. Scary.

So, a child is crouched on the floor, of say, a choir loft (that's what I remember) in a, let's say, fetal position, bleeding Vaginally And/Or Anally, and the Roman Catholic Hierarchy (Lowerarchy) knew that the offending priest, the cause of this scenario, had done this before But the hierarchy allowed the perver priest to go on to yet another parish, and another victim/victims. This scenario is what the Devout Roman Catholic tries not to imagine: A child (let's say 9 years old, as I was) bleeding on the floor, of said "choir loft" , crying and whimpering, as the pervert priest zips up his pants and says, "Don't tell anyone about this.Well, No matter! They won't believe you anyway". Even though he told you that, if you don't let him have his way with you, he will get your little sister in First Grade. But you try to tell and have someone listen to you anyway. You go to the church, and what do they ask? "Who else did you tell"? And, "Did he take pictures"? And there you have THE TYPICAL INTERVIEW WITH THE REPRESENTATIVES OF THE CHURCH. We tried to report what was done to us. We were promised the priest/priests would be taken care of and that what happened to us would never happen again. Foolish Children! You Believed The Church Would Protect You. Would Help You!
