On August 19 and 20, 2008, yes, another priest, Luis Eduardo Ramirez, working in the Diocese of Orange's jurisdiction, had the ability to MANIPULATE the laws, judges and courts of the land--thanks to Anaheim City Attorneys and good 'ol Gary Pohlson, Esq. Pohlson really gets around and is notorious for representing sexual predators employed or formerly employed by the Diocese of Orange. Charges were dismissed because this priest was sent to a monastery and Ramirez will never have to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life. WOW--the Diocese of Orange continues to ABUSE its power and authority via wealthy and religious influence.

And, if my memory serves me correctly, the Anaheim Police Department unfortunately lost crucial evidence regarding another sexual predator/priest once employed by the Diocese of Orange, John Lenihan. The Diocese of Orange knew that Lenihan had molested Mary Grant and Lori Haigh when they transferred Lenihan to St. Edward's to be the new pastor of a Catholic school and church!

Note: My children attended St. Edward's and escaped sexual abuse by approximately 7 priests once working all together. Is there a reason why the Diocese of Orange General Counsel, Maria Rullo Schinderle, Esq. and one of the attorneys representing the Diocese in clergy sex abuse lawsuits, Thomas Rutherford, Esq., continue to hold their licenses to practice law in the State of California, while POSSIBLY watching over sexual predators at St. Edward's? Schinderle and Rutherford have been active members of the St. Edward's parish for years..... WHY DID THESE ATTORNEYS REFUSE TO STOP ILLEGAL ACTIVITY?

HOW MANY CHILDREN FROM ST. EDWARD'S ARE STILL SUFFERING in silence because the Diocese of Orange placed the protections of children at its lowest priority? Bishop Brown thought paying $100 million to settle lawsuits in 2004 would shut up the victims of heinous sex crimes. Brown and his high-priced attorneys guessed wrong!

Dear Rachanee and OC Register Editor:

In response to "Priest Who Took Boy to Motel Room Monastery", you may want to confirm the information published in the OC Register.

After checking court records at www.occourts.org (see below), it appears that Luis Eduardo Ramirez was held for a pre-trial conference on January 18, 2006 in Department N6, but the hearing appears to have been cancelled. There was not a court hearing scheduled until 2 years later; however, the case number was assigned in 2008, which is very strange. In the interests of justice and the protections of children, please clarify and confirm that Luis Eduardo Ramirez was not charged in 2006, in addition to the most recent charges in 2008.

Strangely, I was hoping to bring this concern to the attention of the Anaheim City attorneys named in the case at www.occourts.org; however, the attorneys have not listed emails for posting on the California State Bar website at www.calsb.org.

Hopefully, no one with the ability to manipulate PUBLIC COURT RECORDS has done so, with intent to cover up a child endangerment risk. This may be just one more obstruction of justice and child endangerment crime committed by influential employees of the Diocese of Orange, crimes that Orange County government and law enforcement officials have refused to investigate and prosecute for many years.

Both my husband and I have reported identity theft, forgery, obstructions of justice, perjury, privacy violations, legal conflicts and illegal business and employment practices within the Diocese of Orange since 2004 and pray that some day, OC government leaders will do the right thing and take corrective action.

Perhaps Craig you have failed to realize that no offender nor participants involved in this scandal (aka, Brown, Urell, etc...) have served a day in jail.

If someone molested any of my children, I can assure you they would be either incarcerated or castrated.

There is scandal and corruption still within the power structure of the OC Diocese. Until this cancer is removed No Real Healing will begin.

The Body of Christ in our local community is dis'eases and needs to be healed. The OC Diocese is opted for a radical procedure that it will one day receive. I doubt God will be there to hear their prayers!
