   It's a known fact that Joe Public forgets or forgives (or basically doesnt care anymore) most scandels in six to nine months, so Urell is right on time with his announcement.

   I will continue praying in my special way Monsignor John. In my very special way, but for now, I need to go pierce my eyeballs with needles because I lost the "Will Urell return before Xmas or not" office pool.

   Think, John Urell, of children being sexually butchered. Hear them crying and whimpering as they bleed vaginally, or rectally (or both) on the floors of churches, rectories, choir lofts, schools rooms, sacristies and parked cars. Hear the voices of children as they beg their priest pedophile perpetrators to have mercy on them, to stop hurting them and to leave them alone. For someone to think of these things and know that they (personally) could have stopped the BUTCHERY; and yet still did nothing, would drive anyone over the edge. I am 60 years old but, in my nightmares, I am a child again and begging mercy of the pedophile priest who sexually tortued me so many years ago. May the Pedophile Priests, Brothers, Deacons and Nuns, along with all those who shielded and protected these criminals, never know another good nights sleep.    One of my friends was visiting her mother at the Kaiser Permanente Hospital in Anaheim Hills and copies of Mon. John Urell's letter and Christmas message were STACKED throughout the hospital waiting area.

   One has to give the Diocese of Orange Public Relations Guru lots of kudos for thinking up this one... or, maybe it was St. Petey or St. Maria who thought up this brilliant plan to keep Mon. Urell's spirit alive and well... and the DONATIONS coming in. Does anyone know if a donation envelope was also available with Mon. Urell's letter?

   Only in the rich and famous OC can you actually witness the power of prayer and communities of faith.... when you least expect it!

   Maybe Monsignor Urell could write a piece about what it's like to get well from anxiety and depression while living amongst all the pedophile priests at Southdown. It must make him so proud to know that he had a hand in so many pedophile priests being saved prison time and that they are still able to live among the general population, because of all his noble work.

   I will get a few donkeys and put some leather chains and whips on them and lock them to the church door if he comes back to Orange County. So when people see that, they will be reminded that Urell knew of the kids taken into Mexico and drugged and then taken too Hotel circle were they were butt fked.    It is eye opening to read yet again about the MANY resources pedophile priests and their ENABLERS, Urell, Bishops, DA's, law enforcement officials, attorneys and clueless parishoners continuing donations to support sex abusers hiding behind the shield of freedom of religion privileges. Think about it... how many victims of clergy sex abuse crimes have had the opportunity to escape from life's challenges for months at a time, to recover and heal from the sex crimes that destroyed the lives of children, adults and families?

   More for thought..how many victims of clergy sex abuse crimes have had State legislators understand the urgency of new legislation returning due process of the law to those without resources, forced to endure anxiety, depression, addictions, etc. --- To date, the States of Delaware and California, maybe a couple of others, have placed the protections of children FIRST -- NOT POLITICS. In other states, ENABLERS like Urell are continuing to fight truths, justice and peace, by investing hundreds of thousands of dollars in PR campaigns, attempting to show the world.... THINGS HAVE CHANGED... CHILDREN ARE NOW SAFE! The truth is:

   NO CHILD, ADULT OR EMPLOYEE is safe from the ENABLERS of the Catholic Church and other religious institutions because without justice, there will never be peace. And there are still THOUSANDS of clergy sex abuse victims and families suffering without resources, without justice, without peace -- THANKS TO COWARDLY elected officials and corrupt attorneys advising religious leaders that sex abuse crimes are escapable from accountability in a court of law, all based on twisted interpretations of freedom of religion.

   There is only one solution: CORRECT the wrongs committed against the innocent through the passage of legislation returning civil due process to sex abuse victims facing expired statutes of limitations. Any other attempts of good faith by religious institutions are in actuality, BAD FAITH.

   Without justice, there wil never be peace. Without peace, faith and our country's laws are empty! God bless the survivors, attorneys, judicial officers, families, mandated reporters and supporters who continue to speak out to protect others -- you are gifts to the world.    Sounds like God's been sticking pins in his John Urell Voodoo doll via his own conscious fo the past few years it seems. But I suppose Southdown has offered him the chance to repent and be forgiven, probably sacraments that have been distributed by the other freaky priests in treatment/hiding.

   The people of St. Norberts need to stand up and say enough is enough. First they got Lenihan and now Urell, a major player in the Lenihan coverup. The prayer should be to create a clean heart and renew a right spirit to that poor church. I suggest a good sage burning in there.

    JC don't you have something better to drag on? I happen to know that this "evil" man you continue to browbeat has made adifference in the life of my sweet girl (who was incidentally one of JPL favorite preys).
    Everyone deserves a chance to change - and he was about to "spill his guts" if you read the depo. Like a SS guard, he was against a wall and truly struggled to see the ight. I believe he has seen the light and will be welcomed back. Many many people will welcome him in spite of self rightous judgmental folks like you.

    The Diocese PR machine is obviously in full force with its "Projection Campaign". Calling other people "sick" in order to deflect your own sickness suggests first removing the log from your own eye.

    Projection:

    When a person has uncomfortable thoughts or feelings, they may project these onto other people, assigning the thoughts or feelings that they need to repress to a convenient alternative target.

    Projection may also happen to obliterate attributes of other people with which we are uncomfortable.

    I'm not some guy named "Jubal" whom I know is Cunningham, duh! Thanks for clarifying JP's middle name - thought everyone knew that too.
    I actually am just a loyal guy who happens to love a sweet girl that was the object of one sick bastards affection (over 30 years ago I might add). I am also a guy that has been in the bottom of a barrel and know kinda what Urell may be going through. Remember, besides knowing all the sh -t firsthand, he was TOLD what to do. Surely you don't think one individual in a corrupt organization like the Catholic church could make such decisions alone (just look across the state, country and world for that fact and you'll see a "pattern.") The biggest shock was that he was hung out to dry by his superiors (shocking?).
    Either way, I know that many will be happy to see him come home. As for my sweet girl, she has been able to find some peace after all these years thanks to him. So there, go smoke that Jesus!

    He wasn't hung out to dry by his superiors. He was sheltered and protected by them. They whisked him off to a safe house to get him the immediate help he seemed to need within a matter of hours of his request.

    Now, his superiors are welcoming him back and helping with his pr too.

    The last time I was told what to do within a corrupt organization, I found a pair of balls and pulled the whistle. AND DIDN'T GO BACK.

    I am very curious as to Monsignor Urell's involvement in your sweet girl finding some peace. It sounds like a lovely story and I would like to hear about it. Could you elaborate? Please? It might cause change of heart towards your beloved monsignor if you would share your story.

    Let's see. JPL + 30 years ago = Mary Grant or Lori Haigh. Those were his two "favorite preys" during that period of time according to his own depositions and confession/admission.

    Mary Grant doesn't seem to have any connection to Urell (but has been seen picketing with the SNAPPERS) and Lori Haigh was kicked out of Urell's office never to return to the church.. so your sweet girl is someone we have never heard of yet?

    Wow, you have got a huge new disclosure that I can't wait to hear about. Why wont you elaborate? I bet with the information you have, Gustavo would give you a whole post in your honor. Right Gustavo?

    You say that after molesting Mary Grant in Alhambra, JPL was moved to St. Norberts where he molested Lori Haigh, and then he moved to St. Boniface where he was made a pastor, (just ask gustavo) and even after John Urell knew all about JPL's past, he was able to council your sweet girl through her difficult situation involving her and JPL? and then he was again moved to Dana Point and given an even larger promotion.

    Yes, John Urell is my hero now if I understand you correctly. Without John Urell's help JPL could have been nipped in the bud long before he was.

    Nice attack - typical. First get your facts right - JPL was never in Alhambra - Mary Grant was at St.Norbert, and what happened was unfortunate.

    JU was also a pawn in the sick Catholic church, just look across the world at their track record. All I know is, regardless of what he may have known, although he wasn't party to it back then. We're talking 3o years ago, JU was a parish priest at that time. I hate the church for what they're done and failed to do, but she sees it differently, so forgiving. Perhaps it's survival.. All I know is JU has helped her to heal and that's all that matters to me.

    And the point about St. Boniface was when JPL came he stood and told the parish community about his past (remember Gustavo? - you may have been too young) and everyone knew he had a "girlfriend" at the time- a non-minor. When he moved to St. Edward's 10 years later, his new girlfriend moved too and everyone knew it. If I'm not mistaken, he married his former partner's widow. - a rich one at that.
