Looks like a Coming Attractions trailor of HELL in the video...
Posted On: Friday, Jul. 10 2009 @ 10:12AMIt is stunning once again to see the Diocese of Orange choosing the secular over the sacred. If Bishop Brown wanted to ground his priests in simple and sacred spaces where the sacred liturgy was the center of the retreat he could have chosen several locations. The Brothers of Saint Patrick in Midway City, Saint Michaels Abbey run by the Norbertines, or even the Saint Andrews in Valyermo. Instead the Bishop brought them to a resort. It would have been more fiting to have the retreat at the St. Regis like AIG.

Posted On: Sunday, Jul. 12 2009 @ 1:52PMBishop Brown and his so-called open and transparent leaders continue to amaze me and the faithful in the pews. Money is never a concern in the Diocese of Orange... but yet, St. Anthony's Catholic school is being closed, while Bishop Brown and his attorneys play "God", attend expensive retreats, order the most expense "alcoholic" beverage, with a total disregard for the children who watch their every move and acts of hypocrisy.
To Bishop Brown and his high-priced attorneys:
Please STOP showing our children the true meaning of hypocrisy, deceit and how to cover-up fraud! My children once attended Catholic schools and churches supervised by the Diocese of Orange and I too felt they would receive a christian education, free of the world's evil and self-serving agendas. Little did I know that it was only a stroke of luck that my children escaped sexual predators assigned to St. Edward's Catholic School and Church, years after they had committed sex crimes against minor children. My children learned all about community service attending Catholic schools because their teachers taught with faith and conviction, not because of Bishop Brown and his corrupt attorneys.
God bless all the teachers who have touched the lives of my children and so many others. Sadly, Bishop Brown and his leaders do not deserve the loyalty of the teachers they supervise. While Bishop Brown pays for expensive retreats and high-priced lawyers, whose incompetence result in millions of dollars of sex abuse settlements, Diocese of Orange Catholic school teachers are expected to accept poverty level salaries and disgraceful health and retirement benefits, all in the name of God and christian service.
We can only pray that Bishop Brown retires and/or wakes up to the corrupt attorneys he hires to give him legal guidance. Bishop Brown should be kissing the feet of each and every Catholic school teacher and office worker... but instead, he allows intimidation, threats and fear to manage Catholic schools and churches in Orange County, California.
Thank you Bishop Brown and to your commitment to truth and opennesss..... YOU ARE A DISGRACE!
These guys are your spiritual leaders Orange County?!? They act as if they just hit the xanax bottle. What a bunch of losers. So that is what "filled with the spirit" looks like (no pun intended). They honestly look like they hate their lives. I hope things got better for them a little later on.
Actually, it kind of looks like the meet and greets at my father's old folks home.. right after medication time. Next time may I suggest taking along some UNO cards! UNO can be fun!
Posted On: Monday, Jul. 13 2009 @ 9:07AMWasn't sure whether this was the priest retreat or the Blair Witch Project. If I'm not mistaken, the social hour's being held in the bishop's mega-suite. Note private hot tub.
