No on Prop 8 public service announcement

Categories: Gay Marriage

Weekly contributing writer Dave Barton and his friend Greg Adkins directed and edited this moving No on Prop 8 clip, currently making the rounds of YouTube and even the Daily Kos. The lines being read are from 1 Corinthians. And of course you already knew that Proposition 8 is the November religious-fundie ballot measure that seeks to ban re-ban gay marriage in California...

..c'mon....watching how the public can't get enough of the antics of "celebrities", and their desire to emulate them, and that includes "the sanctity of marriage".....heterosexual couples don't appear to show a fraction of the commitment I've seen from the gay couples I have known.....
...and celebs aside......I do not know a single married couple where the husband hasn't indulged in infidelity (wives also, but I know more unfaithful men than women), and those that split because they're bored, or over money, kids, in-laws, etc....
....and I know gay couples who have weathered the worst of storms and continue to love each other, stand up for each other, and enjoy the kind of relationship I can only envy.....
If God condemns that kind of love, then I have no idea what marriage is supposed to be about....
