Anti-Obama Vandals Target Obama HQ in HB!

Categories: Election 2008

antiobama.jpgWhen local Democratic Party activists showed up at their west county office in Huntington Beach this morning, they found evidence of some last-minute desperation among local McCain supporters: a plywood sign calling Obama a "racist" and equating the "liberal media" with un-Americanism.

One of our freelancers, Nancy Powell, spotted the sign this morning and shot the picture before the Obama folks put the display in its proper place.

"We don't know who did it but it was here in front of our door," says one Obama volunteer. "If you want to see it, it's in the trash can now."

That's ok. These same ignorant people and their ilk all across the nation will be very, very disappointed after tonight....

Ps, I think this is the first time I've seen political graffiti on plywood instead of walls! haha

Hi Gabriel,

I sure hope you're right about Obama winning.

At the risk of betraying just how old a fart I am, I remember back in November 1982, when then-L.A. Mayor Tom Bradley, who was at least 10% points ahead of George Deukmejian for the California Governor's election (according to the polls), lost the election by about 5% points to Deukmejian.

Unfortunately for California, the rest is (really bad) history, and consequently, the "Bradley Effect" (aka the "Bradley/Wilder Effect") was born.

I certainly hope the "Bradley/Wilder" effect doesn't go into play, and that all of us Obama supporter don't end up with egg on our faces.

Why did they throw it in the trash? A little paint or sand paper and it could have been put to good use. Not very progressive of them.
