Vu: You will not be forgotten. You touched so many with your kindness, work ethic, articles, and vision. May all of Vu's loved ones know this, know that their dearly departed profoundly touched everyone who had the pleasure of meeting him.

Composer W. Hofeldt wrote a piece called "The Gift" on the occasion of his son's birth. I was playing the piece with the orchestra yesterday, can I couldn't stop thinking how much Nguyen Huy Vu was a such gift to all who knew him. Farewell Vu.

A stunning loss to his family, friends and the community. A fine writer and a perfect gentleman. News of his death was heartbreaking and unfathomable. My thoughts and prayers to all who knew and miss him.

It felt like it was yesterday when we went to elementary and jr. high school together. He was such a cool guy then, and I'm not surprised that he had grown into a man who was so loved. May he rest in peace.
