This just in from campus safety at Chapman:
Approximately ten minutes ago we received a verbal threat from a person exiting the Barrera parking structure that they placed a bomb on a car in the parking structure. The Orange Police, Orange Fire, and Public Safety are checking into the potential validity of this threat. The structure will be closed temporarily until further notice.
We'll keep you updated as more information comes in.

well it's nice to know that they notify their immediate neighbors of such a threat.. wait, no they don't.

Eric says:
My brother is an employee of the school.
He's been told it may have been a student prank.
Luckily he parked on the streets, otherwise he'd still be waiting for his car.
This very same day, our friend, another employee of Chapman, received an email death threat. The email was traced to Portugal, demanding $8K to save his life. Suspect unknown at this time.
What a weird day at Chapman University.

I look forward to the Weekly keeping me informed about prank parking structure closures in the city of Orange. Thanks a bunch. Meanwhile, who is manning the alt weekly ship? Please tell me it's not Amanda Parsons.

yeah worried, imagine there being a three sentence post on the blog of an alt weekly that you don't find important. it's the end of journalism!

Hey "Worried", get your head out of your ass. Two of my children go to Chapman. When are people going to understand that a bomb threat at a major university is not a "prank"? It's not funny, it's awful and cruel.
