Genius was atop a Christmas tree being dragged behind an SUV on Sunday night when he slammed into a parked car and was hospitalized with head injuries.
The vehicle was going about 25 mph when the female driver took a corner and the tree veered wide and crashed, according to Orange County sheriff's deputies, who added the driver fled and the injured tree surfer and a buddy claimed they did not know her.
The injured kid was treated for moderate head injuries, but he is expected to survive.
