OC Filmmaker's Larry Norman Doc to Screen in Town Where Father of Christian Rock's Music Career Took Off

My new documentary on the life of Larry Norman has just garnered early acceptance to the Cinequest film festival (www.cinequest.org) that runs February 25th to March 8th, 2009 in San Jose, CA. More details to follow.
San Jose is a fitting city for the film's debut. Norman left his parents' San Francisco home in the mid-1960s and moved to San Jose, where he got involved in the local mainstream-rock scene, joining brothers Geoff and Robb Levin in forming the band People! They were signed by Capitol Records in 1966 and hit No. 14 on the Billboard Top 20 in June 1968 with their cover of the Zombies' "I Love You."
Months before his death in February at age 60, Norman was inducted into the San Jose Rocks Hall of Fame.
