Just Another Orange County Murder: John Doe in Anaheim

Police responding to a call of a man down in an alley near South Olive Street and East Valencia Avenue in Anaheim around 9 p.m. Friday found a 20-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his chest. The unidentified man was taken to UCI Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 9:55 p.m.
About the same time all this was going on, police received reports about men pointing a gun from a white Cadillac Escalade nearby. Police stopped a car fitting that description in the 800 block of South Claudina Street, but the driver was the only occupant. He was arrested, and three other males were picked up later.
Ivan Rodriguez, 18, was booked into the Anaheim Detention Center on a murder charge. Teens ages 15, 16 and 17-who were not identified because of their ages--were held on suspicion of murder at Orange County Juvenile Hall.Police believe the crime was gang-related.
