Going Postal to Help Hungry Orange Countians
To help combat a sharply increasing need for emergency food assistance, U.S. Postal Service letter carriers will seek donated food items from every home and business they hit on their Saturday rounds. You can help by setting non-perishable food items by your mailbox that morning.
The collected food will be donated to various local charities. It's part of "Stamp Out Hunger," an effort involving 300,000 letter carriers in 10,000 cities.
