According to Jewish Voice for Peace, since the year 2000, 2,677 Palestinians from the Gaza Strip and 11 Israelis from Sderot have been killed in fighting. Do the math. It is time for all people of faith to put a human face on this tragedy and resist the ferocious and unforgiving demonization of the Palestinian people, by the extreme Right. Let's not forget that Palestinians are also semitic people, just as there Jewish cousins. Connecting the good name of the late Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. to Israeli Apartheid lacks any form of ethical integrity.

The Palestinians have more in common with the Free French, who killed Germans during their occupation, than with Hitler. Palestinians will end their violent resistance when the Israeli government ends its illegal occupation and siege of the West Bank and Gaza. . Israel can have peace anytime that it is willing to withdraw to its 1967 borders.
