Hey Rocky, Watch Me Pull a Cell Phone Off of a Porch
Courtesy of the Orange County Sheriff's Department Deputies are seeking the public's help to prevent Rocky sequels.
Since not everyone who wears a Game of Thrones tee is a poisonous royal and not everyone who wears a Scarface tee is a murderous cocaine dealer and not everyone who wears a Hello Kitty tee is a kitty, it stands to reason that it is perfectly acceptable that the ... cough-cough ... physical specimen shown here is rocking a Rocky tee.
But what he is shown doing on surveillance video being distributed by the Orange County Sheriff's Department (OCSD) is not acceptable: walking off with a Yorba Linda resident's package with a $600 cell phone inside.
This happened Thursday around 11 a.m. at a residence in the 24600 block of Las Patranas in Yorba Linda, which the sheriff's department patrols under contract.
The video below shows the fellow in the powder blue tee ringing the front door bell, staring into his own cell phone screen until he realizes no one is home, gazing in the direction of the package, looking over his shoulder to make sure no one's watching, peering directly into the camera (before figuring out what it is and backing just out of frame) and ultimately grabbing the package, which he is also seen carrying away from a different camera angle fixed on the driveway.
See for yourself:
It's as if you're watching the theft playing out in the windmills of his mind moments before he makes his thieving move. Speaking of moving, "There was no vehicle seen; however, investigators believe he got into a vehicle and left the area," says Lt. Jeff Hallock, the sheriff's spokesman.

The sheriff is hoping the video helps uncover the fellow. Anyone who can help is asked to call OCSD at (714) 779-7098 or (714) 647-7000. Anonymous tips may left with Orange County Crime Stoppers at (855) 847-6227 (855-TIP-OCCS ) or via occrimestoppers.org.
