Chris Dorner and his manifesto: still hot

Christopher Dorner refuses to die, or at the least the idea of the former La Palma resident and rogue ex-LAPD cop won't go away. Witness the sad events taking place in Ferguson, Missouri, where the police shooting of an unarmed 18-year-old fellow has led to much unrest--and Twitter call backs to Dorner, who posted a ranting manifesto about racism on social media before murdering his first victims, an Irvine couple.

Christopher Jordan Dorner: Revolutionary Hero or Proletarian Foe?

What follows now are five of these tweets spreading like a Big Bear cabin fire ...

1. Ferguson needs Dorner's fear factor:

2. Dorner's "a cop with a conscience:"

I would have felt pretty safe because it still wouldn't be me. I do not make the mistake of believing that most things the man did were right.

All anyone has to do is frequent cop watering holes and you'll hear how some, not all cops feel about the rest of us. The brutality they use and how it's condoned and covered up. How there are Deputy D A's who are reserve police officers who file complaints protecting dirty cops. Judges who are so pro law enforcement that your guilty even if you aren't . Justice is just having good luck if your innocent.

He was an egotistical murder... I know one of the police officers he killed.. I saw how his 10 year old son was destroyed by this..

Anyone that even tries to defend anything he did is a fool!!

No worries here no one I love is a corrupt police officer. He's a friggin hero like spider man a modern day boondock saint keeping our streets clean from the filthy cops that are rotting our society. If we can't trust the police to keep us safe maybe we need someone to keep us safe from the police

Chris, you obviously don't know how corrupt the LAPD or most big city police departments are... Yes what he did was wrong. But the man was at his wits end and (not justifying what he did) did what he felt was right.. And even though he made a wrong decision, his actions brought his concerns to the spotlight more than any legal method he had tried in the past. He had went to the media. To the court. To the upper authorities... He was getting the run around on huge issues that are being ignored in this country. I hate what he did. And in the end it made the whole situation worse. But This country/world is sick. I wish he had went about it different. But it did bring attention to the subject. The people just refused to listen and the media focused on making him a bad guy instead of why he did it in the first place.

GAHAHAHAHAHA That pun! Is it weird that I felt safer when he was loose?

Where's the dislike button OCweekly. This takes both events horribly out of context for the sake of a non-journalistic way to get clicks to your site? Shame on you guys. Give us something better to read.

Maybe when he does come back, he'll kill someone you love. We'll see how you feel about him then..

Dorner killed innocent people. Tell me how killing the daughter of a police officer is an example of "fortitude". Dorner was a lunatic and a sad man who's name I hope is forgotten in time. Alonzo, you are simply a goddamn moron.

"Dorners methods could of been done in a better way I agree" ? Is there a better way of killing people that you know of? Would you like to explain the methods or techniques you would use? How about this: Dorner could have approached the problem from a different angle that didn't require the killing of innocent victims. If the man was truly a good example of police officers everywhere, he would not have gone on a reckless killing rampage. After all, police officers aren't as horrible and trigger happy as the narrow view of mainstream media would have you believe. Why not bring his knowledge and experiences to a small or large media operation that could spread the word of the corruption he had seen? No, not ballsy enough, well, I suppose shooting people to death is a better option then! That certainly shows all those corrupt people how much fortitude you have. I mean, why not go out in a fiery blaze and completely redirect the publics focus into your crazy antics instead of publicly confronting the issue through public discourse? What could go wrong? Oh wait, he did just that and now the only thing the public remembers is a mentally disturbed person killing innocent people, not the ACTUAL corruption in the countries' police departments.

Dorners methods could of been done in a better way I agree, but when you get pushed to a corner and theres only one way out, and thats to fight back. So lets wag our fingers at him and act like were better than him because we wouldnt fight back with violence or maybe we dont have the fortitude to do it.. either way he made us open our eyes to some serious bullshit in our PDs

Which is more of a reason to look up to him rather than Dorner who made it all about himself!

Rodney King became an "unwilling" mascot. He is not a leader or someone to idolize, just an unfortunate victim.

Laurie Thomas
Laurie Thomas

Really?! People idolize a man who went on a murder spree for no reason and somehow think that's relevant in this situation? Yes there is a huge issue right now with super militarized cops. But seriously? Dorner? Why not Rodney King?
