Marco Rubio, Guest of Koch Brothers in Dana Point, Shares "The Immigrant Experience"

Time
It's Marco Rubio time!
Two days after President Barack Obama attended a breakfast fundraiser in Laguna Beach, a politician who could succeed him was being feted by the Koch Brothers nearby.

U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Florida) was among the power hitters who attended Monday's kick-off of the Kochs' Freedom Partners Action Fund at the St. Regis Monarch Beach Resort.

The super PAC's goal is to reportedly spend $290 million on elections.

Rubio's appearance there drew the interest of The Nation, which listed among the other "who's who of Republican political elites" at the event titled "American Courage: Our Commitment to a Free Society:" Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) and Reps. Tom Cotton (R-AR), Cory Gardner (R-CO) and Jim Jordan (R-OH).

Attendees apparently discussed strategy on campaign finance, climate change, healthcare, higher education and opportunities for taking control of the Senate. But the main goal, a source reportedly told The Nation, was "to make sure Hillary Clinton is never president."

The event was apparently capped by a special dinner at La Casa Pacifica--the former San Clemente home and "Western White House" of Richard Nixon. It's owned by Gavin Herbert, the founder of the pharmaceutical company Allergan and former Nixon confidant.

The reported title of the dinner, headlined by Rubio: "The Immigrant Experience."

Because when you're in the St. Regis, naturally you think of the immigrant experience.

I'm sure it's primarily because of what's between her legs and not what's between her ears. :-(

@labmonkey_ Yeh, not authentic.  His parents didn't sneak and give birth to an anchor baby.  I guess you have to do that to be "authentic".

@fishwithoutbicycle   I guess that's why the left didn't want Palin for VP, because of what was (or wasn't..lol) between her legs.  It's what's between her ears.

@bphood So lets review.

Kochs are worth 68 billion

Soros is worth 18 billion

Kochs can and do donate more.

Facts have been checked, Kochs spent more in 2012 than Soros and the top 10 unions.

And they will double it this time.

@bphood Better call Harry Reid.  The 59th biggest political donors are in town, and Dingy Harry is bound to have an aneurysm if he hears that the hairy hidden hand of the Kock Bros are taking over the world in Monarch Bay without Harry getting a chance to issue a statement of panic and dread.

@bphood I wasn't at the St. Regis but I don't believe Soros was either.

@gregbpc @labmonkey_  no, to be authentic you have to be of undisputed origin or genuine, he can't even get his story straight when pandering to the exiled cuban community when his family clearly wasn't exiled so yes, a fake and a liar...

Which isn't very much...LOL. It seemed that Republicans expected us ladies who vote primarily Democrat to vote for McCain instead because he had a token woman as his running mate. I don't want a token. I want the best person for the job, man or woman.

@fishwithoutbicycle @gregbpc So do I, that's why I would not vote for Hillary.  It's got nothing to do with her being a woman. But obviously the left does for just because of race/sex/sexual orientation. And are you telling me nobody voted for Obama just because he is black?

@gregbpc @fishwithoutbicycle

I'm sure some did. But how many people DIDN'T vote for Obama just because he's black? How many people won't vote for Hilary just because she's a woman? I wonder how many qualified women have been overlooked for positions of authority in favor of a less-qualified man?

@meheecan-cris-doner Yep, too bad for you.  Still a few conservatives left in the once great OC.  My daughter is glad, too.

@fishwithoutbicycle @gregbpc Not man these days.  I bet more people voted for Obama because he was black, than people that didn't vote for him because he was.  The left doesn't understand that the right, for the most part, wants the best person, not the one that is a particular race/sex/sexual orientation.  The left just THINKS the right votes that way because of their own biases.

@gregbpc @fishwithoutbicycle

Well...some people on the right do...and I'm sure some people on the left do it, too. We all have our preferences...and prejudices. Honestly, with politics so convoluted these days I generally vote for the pro-choice candidates...I have to hold onto something...
