Jon Fleischman, Orange County's Conservative Political Blog King, Joins Breitbart News
Breitbart.com officials announced this afternoon that longtime Orange County conservative activist and prominent blogger Jon Fleischman will serve as the political editor of the site's California news.
That's the word from Breitbart's senior editor-at-large Joel Pollak, who will become editor of Breitbart California in what the company is calling a major expansion to report the "successes of the conservative movement in California and the failures of the left-wing establishment."
Fleischman--a well-connected, veteran Republican Party activist and founder of the successful FlashReport that has routinely dominated conservative online discussions in the state--said in a press announcement that the move "represents some much-needed reinforcements in the ongoing battle against the institutional left in California."
He added that Breitbart California will "begin to change the narrative here in the Golden State" and "that the Democrat Media Complex will no longer have carte blanche in our nation's largest state."
He's already posted his inaugural article at the site and says he will continue to publish a daily edition of the FlashReport.
Andrew Breitbart, the website's Los Angeles-based founder, tragically died at the age of 43 in 2012 and was known for espousing righteous indignation about liberal activists, Democratic Party politicians, public employee unions, college professors and the mainstream media.
In 2011, Breitbart single-handedly nailed New York Democratic Congressman Anthony Weiner for his outrageous, online sexual exploits with women other than his wife, Hillary Clinton's closest aide, when most newspaper reporters looked the other way.
