And here comes the basebrawl . . .

A lady wearing an Angels jersey was attacked by two women who were apparent Dodgers fans early Sunday afternoon, leading to a Main Street brawl in downtown Huntington Beach that left two Marines hospitalized and two suspects facing assault charges, according to police.

One Marine was stabbed in the face with a broken bottle right in front of cops busy detaining people, reports Huntington Beach Police Lt. Mitch O'Brien.

Three Marines jumped in to break up the fight between the three women, which led to men associated with the ladies joining in. This was around 1:45 p.m. a.m. at Main and Walnut Street, where it is important to note that within being-ordered-to-leave-by-bouncers distance there are one ... two ... seven ... like, a dozen rowdy watering holes.

Besides the Marine who was stabbed in the face, a second was found bleeding about a half block away, the wound courtesy of an unknown assailant. They were still being treated for their non-life-threatening injuries at a San Diego-area hospital today, O'Brien told City News Service.

Manuel Alexis Alvarez, 23, of Downey, and Victoria Robledo, 20, of Norwalk, were booked on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and released on bail later Sunday morning, said O'Brien, who added that detained on suspicion of ADW but released without being booked were: Paul Santino Forno, 22, of Whittier; Daniel Maadan, 24, of Whittier; Erik Alexander Gomez-Chavez, 27, of Norwalk; and Jessica Perez, 22, of Downey.

As was the case with last summer's riots after the U.S. Open of Surfing, the police department is hoping cell phone videos shot by passersby might help their investigation. Anyone who has information that can help, including video, is asked to call the department's tip line at 714.375.5066. Anonymous tips can be left with Orange County Crime Stoppers at 855.TIP.OCCS.

BTW, the Angels took two of three Freeway Series games from the Dodgers this spring. Scoreboard, beotches!
