Man says cops had no reason to shoot him
A City of Orange resident has filed a federal civil rights lawsuit against his police department for officers allegedly using excessive force during a bizarre June 30, 2013, encounter.

According to Jorge Galindo, he was attempting to park his vehicle in his garage when officers approached and demanded to see identification documentation.

While he was in the process of complying, one of the cops shot him "multiple times," the lawsuit states.

Galindo--who hasn't yet learned the identity of involved officers--claims he was unarmed, posed no threat to anyone and is baffled by the use of force when there was "no reasonable suspicion of wrong doing."

The lawsuit filed in Orange County's Ronald Reagan Federal Courthouse contains nine claims including civil rights violations, battery, negligence as well as an assertion that police have an "animus against minorities."

Though Galindo claims he suffered "great pain" from injuries to his abdomen and leg, his lawsuit did not specify the wounds, corresponding medical treatment or the number of bullets that entered his body.

He is seeking a jury trial inside U.S. District Court Judge Andrew J. Guilford's courtroom.

Lawyers for the Orange Police Department have not yet responded to Galindo's assertions.

OC juries are always rigged by LE for LE!

OC LE will continue to shoot first, wound you, kill you or baton you to death and they know any OC jury will find them not guilty. Remembr it's "Part of their job" to shoot, mame or kill you in the act of duty.........

Th best ones are when suspects are killed with shots fired into the back!

Your honor, I was scared to run and too fat to run so I shot him/her in the back, I was scared I was going to have a heart attack! Too many sugar donuts!!

Just another confirmation of the trigger happy vigilantes in uniform on the city's payroll, who SHOOT TO KILL FIRST and MAYBE ask questions later.  99.99% of ALL cops are THUGS!

You should go into Youtube, look for Paul Harvey, What is a policeman.

Any court, any Judge, any Jury including the lawyer whose buy this statement must have no brain:

According to Jorge Galindo, he was attempting to park his vehicle in his garage when officers approached and demanded to see identification documentation. While he was in the process of complying, one of the cops shot him "multiple times," the lawsuit states.

ps. when police approaching you, in their eyes, you have done something bad or could be bad, but you wasn't done anything bad, so if you want to be safe in one piece, you better comply with what the Police said, otherwise you dead!!!! Drop everything in your hands, accept your infant, DO YOU UNDERSTAND?

If you have nothing to hide, if you are innocense…The police department will personally come out and apologize to you in person and in letter for your inconvenience, But if you are a really bad guy, then the bad consequences will be with you.

For the future 911 callers:

You better deal with your problems first, If someone who you think “wonderful” “kind” “”loving” “gentleman” “or “wouldn’t hurt a fly” person, threaten you with a knife, a 2x4 or even a toy gun etc. that person will be in bad trouble if police come out, and that person doesn’t comply with police: “Drop it!!!

To the idiot lawyer’s, you are one of them giving the lawyer business a bad name.

Damn, these cops! I wonder what's going to Happen to the armed civilians that these cops pull over for no reason and attempt to unjustifiably use police force in this manner. Cops are going to start getting shop back at.

They call it "The United States of Orange."  It's on a banner hung in their briefing room.

This person says he was parking his car when police asked him for identification. He was in the process of complying with their requests when they shot him multiple times. Who's the criminal here? Sounds to me like the police involved committed attempted murder.

We should be made aware every time the police abuse their power, because it is in fact the people's power they are wielding and we are responsible for making sure it's used properly.

They are criminals! They deserve all that they get! Only people who don't like cops are criminals!

Even if the shooting was on video, I think we all know full well getting a conviction and then actual jail time for bad cops is an uphill battle...or perhaps more like trying to push a boulder up a sheer cliff...

Orange doesn't discriminate the police are dicks to all their citizens.

So being shot in your own garage while complying to a cop with no warrant or probable cause, is an act of greed? He did all that to make money?

You are a tool sir. And a failure at reason.

@victorydr  You're clearly an idiot. 1. Police don't STOP crimes. They show up after the fact and make a report or draw a line around your corpse. 2. Who are you going to call when a cop shoots you and rapes your daughter? Idiots like you think that slapping on a badge after an 18 week course on 'the law' makes them above the law. 3. Clearly these scumbag cops aren't going to face any sort of jail time for their actions, so what other recourse would you suggest the victim take to get justice?  4. When someone make a remark about a garbage man who may be a scumbag or a jerk or a lowlife criminal, all the garbage men don't circle the wagons because the scumbag happens to share their profession. But when you accuse a cop of being a scumbag lowlife, all cops and their idiot friends defend the cop just because he has the profession of a cop. It is corruption at its core because those same scumbags are in charge of investigating and arresting their fellow co-workers, which almost never happens. 5. Being a garbage man is more dangerous than being a cop.

I have been waiting 17+ years for the apology. That's why Anaheim/Garden Grove/Orange County are in so much fucky twubble.

@victorydr That was a seriously funny post. I know you didn't mean it to be, but it was. "Drop everything in your hands, accept your infant".

You have got to be kidding me.  Regular, law-abiding citizens hate  police who use excessive force, just the same way we would  hate any other violent (non-police) person.  A violent crime is a violent crime, no matter who commits it.  Hating police who take advantage of their power in order to be violent and brutal does not make me or anyone else a criminal.

Maybe the whole world vomiting on Orange County, CA will help move things along.

Trust me I don't like cops at all. But it also comes down to is there are three sides to every story. Of course the guy that got shot is gonna make it sound like he did absolutely nothing wrong. Which maybe he didn't do anything to provoke it but if he did he's not going to say he did. I wonder what the guy looks like and if he has a past in any gang or drug related issues? Still not saying it's ok for the cops to just shoot you because of your past but it for sure doesn't help. I've had my fair share of dealing with bad cops and being held at gun point multiple times in Orange County. Also had a very good friend get shot and killed by the police a few months ago in riverside county. He had been in a lot of trouble the past few years and tried to run the cops over.

So I know they can be overly aggressive. But sometimes people get shot or beaten for reason!

@mfilicicchia Did you miss the part where the guy said something is missing? He actually appears to have a grip on reason in coming to that conclusion because it doesn't otherwise make sense.

Yep typical criminal cop attitude - if we aren't allowed to act like mafia trash criminals don't call us for help when you need it. What an honorable profession!
