LA KISS Will Have Two Arena Football Games from Honda Center Shown Live on ESPN2
Two of the LA KISS Arena Football League (AFL) games will be televised nationally on ESPN2, and both will be played on the new franchise's home field in the Honda Center of Anaheim.
Those dates were revealed as ESPN and the AFL announced their official 2014 national broadcast schedule, which features 100 games on the all-sports network's different channels.
Both LA KISS games live on ESPN2 will be against the Spokane Shock. The first will be shown at 7 p.m. Sunday, May 4, and the second starts at 10 p.m. Saturday, June 28.
Part of a multi-year agreement reached last year, the deal between the league and the network has 11 AFL games televised on ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPNEWS during 2014, including a Conference Championship game and the Aug. 23 ArenaBowl XXVII. The schedule begins Sunday, April 27, with a Week 7 matchup between the Iowa Barnstormers and the 2013 American Conference Champion Philadelphia Soul.
More than 90 AFL games will be shown on ESPN3 under the agreement. The schedule is subject to change. All AFL games shown on ESPN channels will be available to subscribers of the WatchESPN app for tablets and smartphones.
LA KISS will also be featured is four games televised nationally by CBS Sports and is the subject of a docu-series on AMC, the network known for Breaking Bad, Mad Men and The Walking Dead, which, for the sake of fans, we hope does not describe the squad Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons are backing financially.
