ORIGINAL POST, FEB. 4, 11:46 A.M.: The discovery of the body of a black female in Yorba Linda today has led to a homicide investigation by the Orange County Sheriff's Department.

The body was found about 5:45 a.m. in a residential area near Deodar Drive and Live Oak Lane, according to Orange County sheriff's Lt. Jeff Hallock, the department spokesman.

The cause of death has not yet been disclosed.

UPDATE NO. 1, FEB. 4, 2:21 P.M.: The deceased woman was found in front of a multimillion-dollar house before dawn by two bicyclists, Orange County sheriff's Lt. Jeff Hallock has further explained.

"There's no immediate threat to the public or the community," Hallock told City News Service. "We believe it's an isolated incident and our victim was targeted." He added the coroner is now scheduling an autopsy.

Neighbors did not recognize the woman and said the house near where she was found has been for sale for at least two months and is still occupied, according to televised reports.

UPDATE NO. 2, FEB. 4, 3:40 A.M.: A 35-year-old Yorba Linda man has been arrested on
suspicion of murdering the woman whose body was found on a sidewalk in an upscale
neighborhood near Deodar Drive and Live Oak Lane, according to the sheriff's department.

Investigators did not immediately release the name of the suspect or his age; they also have not yet identified of the woman.
