Anthony Christopher Sota, Travel Softball Coach, Allegedly Contacted 14 y.o. Girl for Sex

Categories: Crime-iny, Sports

The Long Beach Police Department announced Tuesday investigators are looking for other possible victims of a "travel softball coach" who allegedly tried to hook up with a 14-year-old girl for sex.

Anthony Christopher Sota is currently out on bail after being charged in November with two felony counts of contacting a minor for lewd acts. The 40-year-old Anaheim resident also uses the name De La Sota, police add.

Sota allegedly sent lewd messages iaimed at meeting the girl, a member of the club softball team he was coaching at the time, for sex in October.

Because investigators fear there many have been other victims, members of the public who may have information of other crimes are asked to contact Detective Sean Irving at 562.570.7368.
