Man Shot to Death Inside Hidalgo Pool Hall in Santa Ana Early Today

A man was shot to death in a Santa Ana pool hall early today, and two people were detained for questioning, police said.

The deceased--identified only as a Hispanic man in his 30s--was shot multiple times at Hidalgo Pool Hall, 1808 W. Fourth St., around 1:20 a.m., according to Santa Ana Police Cmdr. Eric Paulson.

The victim died at the scene, Paulson told City News Service.

Two people were detained for questioning, reports Cpl. Anthony Bertagna, the police department's spokesman, who added there is no known motive yet.
