Don't know if you saw the horrific overhead video from an eight-vehicle collision in Fullerton late Thursday afternoon that left one driver dead and sent five other people to the hospital with injuries.

But the crash prompted Weekly contributor Brandon Ferguson to grab his camera and head to the scene, where he snapped the photos that accompany this post.

Authorities today were at a loss to explain why the driver of a pickup truck that was speeding north on Harbor Boulevard in Fullerton veered into oncoming traffic at Valencia Mesa Drive, which is across the street from St. Jude Medical Center, around 4 p.m.

That driver of a Ford 150 pickup, 57-year-old Adrian Davis of Brea, is the crash victim who died at the scene, according to the Orange County Coroner's office, which included a date of birth that indicated Davis would have turned 58 on Oct. 16.

Adrian Davis jeopardized other people's lives because he drove like a moron??? Unless there a very good reason, like he was running from terrorists... Fuck him. Good riddance!

How awful, and how scary it must have been for everyone involved. I'm interested in what would have caused the deceased to get into this accident; it's possible that he may have had a heart attack or other medical emergency. I hope this wasn't alcohol related. There have been several drunk driving accidents just on my street, and some of them happened in the daytime. :-(

Looks like the accident was right around the corner from the hospital. As sick as it sounds, at least the only person who died was the person who was responsible for the whole thing.

A real tragedy, condolences to his family, and also to all those who were involved . I hope they will seek counseling in the days ahead. Incidences like this can be traumatizing, and cause flashbacks, and anxiety. Not something to take lightly.

How sad...could have been anyone who drives that road all the time. All my doctors are over there on that block. I bet it was someone in a rush to get to the ER

These pictures are posted, to maybe show the dangers of fast driving. Whether he was in control, or lost control...it did occur AND on an intersection I once frequented. :-l. Rest in Peace, Adrian

I don't think a picture like this should be posted.

Concur with the statement about a possible heart attack. Please be sensitive until we know the facts.

Fortunately, he was the only fatality. This scared the crap out of me. A couple of those cars were unrecognizable.
