Jeffry Morrow of Huntington Beach Leaps to His Death from Palm Desert Resort's 6th Floor

A 64-year-old Huntington Beach man recently ended his life in Palm Desert by jumping from a popular resort's sixth floor interior to the lobby below, according to Riverside County authorities.

Jeffry Morrow intentionally leaped to his death just before 11 a.m. Tuesday at the JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort, reports the county coroner.

His fall ended in the lobby of the resort at 74855 Country Club Drive, the coroner added.

Morrow's next of kin have been notified, and sheriff's deputies are investigating.

No word from the resort.

I needed him very much and loved him unconditionally.  He was the love of my life.

That's sad. It's a nice resort.  Wonder if it was premeditated and he went to kill himself there or if something happened that spurred it.  Anyway, I think 6 stories is definitely a survivable distance that if I were planning to kill myself I would not want to risk surviving and then being paralyzed which would even be worse.
