A 30-year-old Cypress man who posed as an 18-year-old online to lure a 15-year-old girl to a park where he kissed her, cut a plea deal with a judge that won him 90 days in jail.

William Gabriel Rodriguez was also ordered by Orange County Superior Court Judge Debra Carillo to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.

The plea deal, which includes five years of formal probation that will become two years in jail if Rodriguez violates parole, came Friday when he pleaded guilty to luring a child with the intent to commit a crime, meeting a minor to commit lewd conduct and lewd act on a child age 15.

Without the plea deal, Rodriguez was looking at up to four years in state prison with a conviction, according to this previous report:

William Gabriel Rodriguez May Have Posted His Age as 18 to Meet Teen Girls Online for Sex: DA

Rodriguez met the unidentified girl on an unspecified social-networking website, on which he claimed to be the 18-year-old "Tattooed Photographer," Deputy District Attorney Eric Scarbrough reportedly told City News Service.

He kissed the girl several times on the mouth before the couple was spotted just before 9:45 p.m. April 30, 2012, at Maple Grove Park South in Cypress by a police officer on foot patrol. Noticing the girl looked much younger than Rodriguez, the female officer asked him his age, and he is said to have replied 18. Further investigation revealed he was 29 at the time, and he was arrested on the spot.
