The most recent message at the top of Alexa Saulietis' Facebook page is from April 23. It indicates the 26-year-old San Clemente resident commented on a link to lyrics for a song by Caliban.

The title: "Walk Like the Dead."

Late last Monday night, July 1, Saulietis was killed by a freight train in what authorities have said may have been a suicide.

She was struck about 10:45 p.m. south of the Metrolink platform in the area of Senda de la Playa and Avenida Estacion in San Clemente.

The Orange County Sheriff's Department originally said a woman in her 20s had been pronounced dead at the scene there. Witnesses saw her on the tracks before she was struck, according to sheriff's investigators who called the incident a possible suicide.

The county coroner later identified the deceased as Saulietis but did not indicate if her death was caused by suicide or an accident.

Saulietis' Facebook page shows she studied as Saddleback College and came to San Clemente via Norco. Lit's Jeremy Popoff was among her 163 Facebook friends. She liked Blink-182, the movie Twilight and the cable show Dexter.

Before that "Walk Like the Dead" post, the last activity on her Facebook page was on Nov. 25, when she changed her profile picture to the one that opened this item. Saulietis also changed her cover photo to this:

Horrid. She should have had been married with 4 kids, passing on those beautiful genes.

White people have a far higher suicide rate than other groups, but somehow nobody is declaring that a national crisis.

God bless your fragile spirit, beautiful girl. May your spirit soar through the heavens, free from all pain. And may first responders be free from any traumas as well. So sad.

I think the right to die gets circumvented by who has to clean up the splatter...(^^^)

A permanent solution to a temporary problem, but I understand. We each have the right to make this decision for ourselves, the choice to cease existing is a fundamental right granted to each of us. It's not important how or when we die, what's important is we make the best of things while we're here, what we leave behind, and the fact that we're not really gone as long as we're remembered.

Both ending your life and having the willpower to fight your natural instincts to survive...suicide must be so difficult, so painful, but I have to think that her life must have been even more painful at that point to have even contemplated suicide. So tragic. Thoughts with her family and friends.

I'm sure it's a 100% success rate but painless it's not, our own Golden Gate Bridge, bet she'd wish it wasn't real, every survivor of the bridge jump said they regretted it the second they jumped.

@Mitchell_Young What does being white have to do with anything?  Its sad that this young woman is dead whether from suicide or accident.  All ethnic groups have beautiful genes.
