Kathia Maria Davis, Boy-Banging Hockey Mom, Sees Second Mistrial in Case Involving 13 Y.O.

Here's another one that happened while I was out of the office last week: a second mistrial was declared in the case that alleges a Laguna Niguel hockey mom sexually assaulted her son's 13-year-old friend.

Prosecutors must now decide whether to seek a third trial against 45-year-old Kathia Maria Davis, who was convicted in August of having sex with a 16-year-old boy.

Orange County Superior Court Judge W. Michael Hayes called the mistrial Thursday after the jury deadlocked 10-2. As was the case the first time, jurors must vote unanimously for their to be a conviction.

The Orange County Sheriff's Department investigated and later arrested Davis after receiving complaints she was plying players on her son's Beach City Lightning hockey team with alcohol and, in at least two cases, having sex with them.

Once between April 30, 2005, and April 29, 2006, Davis allegedly let her son and the 13-year-old drink alcohol in her home during a sleepover, when the mom is accused of having kissed and given the visitor a hand job while her son slept.

Davis testified she believed the boy to be 18 and the sex act consensual.

The case came to light after the 16-year-old told his mother he had consensual sex with Davis. The sheriff's department was called, and the probe was launched that led to her arrest and prosecution.

The DA should really just drop the case!  Are they going for a third?  That's ridiculous.  I didn't really think it was a crime in the first place but if it takes them three tries to convince a jury then the DA must really be bored.

I'm not sure which is creepier...the sexual predator hockey mom, or the kid telling his sexual exploits to his mother.

Remember back when the world was rational? When we all saw "The Graduate" for the first time and we all wished for our own "Mrs. Robinson?" These asinine do-gooder, so-called "protectors of innocence and chaste"  have expended tens of thousands of dollars on a second trial for a so-called "offense" that no one cares about anyway. The poor "victim" has been forced to endure the humiliation of acknowledging that he is a normal testosterone-charged, teenage boy who excitedly accepted and enjoyed a hand job from someone's mom. This is a classic "no harm - no foul" issue that some kid's parents ranted over. It's all politics. It's all about justifying one miniscule act and the small prosecutorial unit that pushed it through court. If the kid who experienced the orgasm and ejaculation at the hands (no pun intended) of this mom who must have been impressed with what the little guy had hanging, had felt "victimized" is erection would never have happened and had he told HotMom no or to stop and she forced it on him, then we'd have an issue. Every teenage boy prays for this to cum their way, but few ever experience it. The key is to enjoy it and keep your mouth shut! If you're going to brag, DON'T DO IT TO YOUR MOM! She's jealous she's not as hot as the HotMom!

Having a hyphen in a headline helps hinder hubbub about who did what to who.

Happens a lot in OC Weekly. Or is that by design?
